First Bloom of Spring
Easter weekend fills the churches of St. Thomas and St. Croix, and families often want something fresh on the table when everyone comes back from service. First Bloom of Spring is a seasonal bouquet of mixed flowers chosen by the florist for that new-season feeling. It also works as a soft opener to Carnival month on St. Thomas. Anyone ordering from outside the territory only needs the recipient's name, a full address and a phone number; a Virgin Islands florist does the arranging and the hand delivery. Relatives overseas pick First Bloom of Spring for Easter Sunday and for the weeks leading to Carnival in Charlotte Amalie, held each spring. A local Virgin Islands florist delivers it by hand to the family home.
