Wildflower Wish Basket
Baskets have a long history in the islands, and a woven one filled with flowers still feels like a present from home. Wildflower Wish Basket is an arrangement of fresh mixed blooms set in a woven basket with a relaxed, just-picked character. Islanders overseas send it to parents in Estate Whim or Kingshill, often around the Agriculture and Food Fair on St. Croix in February. A florist nearby assembles it and brings it in person. The basket travels flat and steady, so it suits homes up steep hillside roads.
